Happy 2009!

Happy New Years!

We had a quieter new years than years past. We spent the evening and wee morning hours talking, snacking and playing games with some of our friends.  Very low key and nice. Violet slept and Jude was good. We paid for it the next morning, however, with both Violet and Jude giving us an early reveille. Ah, well. It was worth it!

We had a little excitement though. I was being spacey last night and tried to walk through the glass door in the kitchen. I broke the door with my knee and got a few kind of extensive injuries on my leg. Cassie and Justin heard the commotion and came to the rescue with Cassie helping rush me to ER where I ended up with 20 stitches. Phew. Glad that one’s behind me. I still haven’t looked at my injuries. I’m a sissy with those kinds of things and didn’t want to be fainting. I’ll probably have a few “reminders” of the events of January 1, 2009. I’d appreciate prayers that the cuts heal quickly without any complications or infections. Also, please pray that Jude is understanding of me not being able to rock him for at least a week and that there wont’ be any negative side effects with him from the antibiotics. He and Dad will get to know each other well, I think. :)

Happy New Year!

Sorry about your leg, I’ll be praying for you. We always have to do things alike :P I fell through a glass door too once and also got 20 stitches…although they were on my chin. By the way, Jude is adorable.

Ha, you got 20 stitches too. We are doing things the same. Heh. Maybe you could clue me in on anything I may NOT want to do that same and I can try to avoid it? :)
