I’ve got so much to be thankful for this Mother’s Day!

1) I’ve got my wonderful mother, who I consider one of the best! Thanks, mom for all the years you poured into me and for giving me such wonderful brothers and sisters. I wish you were closer so I could take you out to the new Star Trek movie instead of Teri… ahem… Funny, I didn’t even realize you were a Trekker all these years. Heh. Now I know where I got it from. Definitely not from dad. Anyways, thanks for being a wonderful mom and for how chilled you were about life and all the shenanigans we’d throw your way. I hope I can be the same with my little guys.
2) I met my Justin on May 10, Mother’s Day, 7 years ago. He came from Florida in his green Ford Ranger (secretly the best trucks in the world), a very “special” haircut and goatie, a winning smile and friendly personality. I never dreamed he was my husband to be, but, you know, God works in mysterious ways. So here we are years later. Trucks gone. His hair and goatie are now tamed and he is a wonderful father to the kiddos and husband to me. Happy 7th Anniversary, Justin, and thank you for taking the chance and moving out to California all those years ago. Most of all though, a big thank You, God, for the miracle of bringing us together and making us a family!
3) I’m so so thankful to be a mom! I went through a period where I thought I may not be able to have kids and it made me appreciate little Violet all the more when she finally came along. I would just stare at her and thank God for giving me the best gift in the whole world, being a mom. I still stare are her and her little brother and can’t believe I’ve got little ones. They bring Justin and me so much joy. They drive me a little nuts sometimes, but I’d like to think I’m a better person for what they teach me about true and unconditional love, understanding and all that good stuff you can only learn through experience. Thank you, Violet for the beautiful roses and Jude, your sweet baby kisses/licks are the best in the world. You made my day today. I love you, kiddos!
